Tommies Bites
Greenco
Greenco is a Dutch company that produces all diffent kind of tomatoes, but they're most famous for their candy tomato brand: Tommies. They have now created a new tomato, the Tommie Berry, but have no idea how to sell it or who to sell it to.
Through desktop research, interviews and many prototypes my team and I have created Tommies Bites, that will make your child nag for a healthy snack.

The Problem
When a new product is brought upon the market it's to find the right target group and package it accordingly. This is also the case for the tomato berry. This candy tomato is around 3 to 5 times smaller than the candy tomatoes currently on the market, but also around 30% more expensive. The tomato berry is perfect to snack on and also easy to consume for children. All these factors made me and my team decide that our target groups would be on-the-go and children.
Quick and Dirty Prototyping
After the some rounds of diverging and converging three ideas were left. These ideas were then further worked out thorugh the making of prototypes.

The size of the eyes and mouth were adjusted multiple times to create the best user experience




Tommies Tomato
The sides needed to have the right angle to make surethe tommotoes were easily reached while not being spilled




Tommie Plop
The original idea for this concept didn't work out, so the team came up with a new and improved idea to turn into a concept.
Product Journey
The Tommies Bites were chosen by Green-co to be worked out into a fully fledged concept. The most important parts were to adapt the design in such a way that it would be optimal for filling, shipment and usage. These adaptions are shown through the following product journey.

The final packaging does not only have a fun and interactive design for children, but is also easily transported and filled.
