Fauvism
Village

Every human on this earth experiences this world different. Art is one of the ways we can express and experience these differences. In this exhibition me and a few other artist worked together to create the colourful world of the fauvism artist of the 20th century. So visitors can see and hear a world where feelings are reality.

The Idea

Fauvism is a relatively unknown art style from the early 20th century where artist express their feelings through colours. This results in colourful paintings of mostly mundane subjects. After a short discussion me and the other artist decided that the best way to honour this unique style was to create a rural village. For this we would create everything from buildings, landscapes, to animals and self-portraits as the villagers.
