BackBag

1st place Hackathon

Ahold Delhaize is the mother company of Albert Hein and is looking for ways to improve their shopping experience both in and outside of the store. Their main focus lays on improving the grocery carrying experience.

The main target group is young people who live alone, together or have a small family that life in the city and go to the supermarket multiple times a week, often right after school or work.

The BackBag lets you get groceries right after work by having a expendable backpack that is optimized for grocery shopping.

Many young students, couples and small families in the big cities go to the supermarket after their school or work activities to do groceries, but often end up needing to buy an extra plastic bag due to the fact that their bags are too small. This can be very annoying, especially when one is reliant on public transportation or bike to get around.

Costumer Journey

To better understand our target group my team made a costumer journey.

Final Concept

BagBack

The BagBack is a bag pack that can be comfortably used throughout the day to carry around everyday items like books, laptops and water bottles.

After work or school when one goes to the supermarket to get tonight’s dinner, you can simply zip the expansion strips open to create extra space for the groceries.

Awards

1st Place

After a long day me and my teammate finally got the good news: We won 1st place.

The jury especially apricated how our idea solved a relatable problem for a clear target group.
